***An early peek at The Great 2026 Migration***

__________________________________________________

Many of the popular southern African campsites get booked up quickly by tour operators and the general public, most often, a year in advance, so if you are keen to book a bespoke safari or tour for 2025, it is essential to plan well in advance to secure your preferred destinations.

Some overlanders and safari lovers enjoy travelling alone, and we have groups of people for whom planning and bookings are already in progress.

Other people prefer to travel in groups, so if this is your preference, and especially if your group comprises more than 3 vehicles, then even more reason not to delay getting in touch with us.

Botswana gets booked up really quickly, but there are other amazing destinations to consider as an alternative, if you feel that you can’t commit to a tour right away, so don’t dispair, we’re able to help.

So, if you are keen to book the highly sought-after campsites, don’t delay. Email, call or WhatsApp us now, if you are interested in starting your planning for 2025, we may already have bookings available for your choice of travel dates.

We are looking ahead to 2026 to put together our THE GREAT 2026 MIGRATION! Read below for more details. We will be putting together a tour from South Africa through the Southern African Countries such as Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and back to South Africa. There will be limited space and so, if you want to join this group, or form your own group, connect with us soon.

A good tour is the result of meticulous planning and research, which takes time, not forgetting the enjoyment of a few cups of good coffee to stimulate the inspiration!

Pack 'n Go - Short-stay, midweek, personally guided tours

We do midweek personally guided tours to Hluhluwe / iMfolozi Park, Mkuze Game Reserve or iSimagaliso Wetland Park.

Why Short-stay?

We have learnt in recent times that travel decisions are frequently being made in the spur of the moment, so when people see a gap in their diaries to travel, they decide quickly, book, and off they go.

Why Midweek?

This allows for greater flexibility in terms of availability of late or last minute bookings. Often the weekends are booked out well in advance, especially for lodge accommodation and so the chances of securing a booking in these popular parks is greater. Sighting experiences are better too, with fewer vehicles driving around the park.

What’s the offer?

We offer 2 or 3 night stay at any one of these amazing parks, driven in a closed vehicle by a nature guide to interpret the bush for you personally. This is for a maximum of six people at a time. Fully catered.

Lodging or camping, the choice is yours. Prices will vary based on specific requirements and size of group. Ask for a quote.

All you need to do is pack and go!

A short visit to one of the nearby game reserves is always relaxing and rewarding.  A time to unwind from every-day life.

Seeing one of the Big 5, especially the shy leopard which always         gets the pulse racing, in a nice kind of way of course.

THE GREAT 2026 MIGRATION

This will be an EPIC adventure, and journey of a lifetime, taking place from May through to August 2026. Four months of safari bliss with like-minded overlanders!

This journey will begin in South Africa and will take the adventurers to the most popular safari parks and landscapes in southern and eastern Africa. If places like Mana Pools, South Luangwa, the Ngorongoro, Crater, the Masai Mara have been on your bucket list, then this is the tour for you to consider. But there are many lesser known, but equally beautiful destinations to see along the way that will surprise and delight too.

This tour will be restricted to a minimum of 6, and a maximum of 8 vehicles. It will be a popular choice, so enquire sooner rather than later.

When you stand at this viewpoint at the top of the 19km wide Ngorogoro Crater caldera, it give you goose bumps. For so many reasons. You have to be there to experience this for yourself.

Each person has their own unique overland vehicle (and trailer) set up. Do your research about what works for you when you make this expensive investment. We can offer some advice for you if needed.

Driving into the African sunset is unique. There are so many places on this beautiful continent that offer the opportunity to photograph that classic golden hue.

The Elephant Coast Turtle Tours

Every year, the loggerhead and leatherback turtle species return to their places of birth to begin the cycle of life for the next generations. Here in South Africa, this takes place along the pristine beaches of the Elephant Coast near Kosi Bay.

This occurs during the months of November and December each year, and then approximately 60 to 70 days after the eggs have been laid, and depending upon the environmental factors at the time, the hatchlings make their way from their nest and run the gauntlet on their race to the waves, to relative safety.
To experience this, is to witness one of the most amazing miracles of nature, and many people find it to be a rather emotional experience. The hardships that the turtles need to overcome, is remarkable and it is indeed, a feat of survival. There is no doubt that you will remember this forever.

And what would a visit to the Elephant Coast be without seeing any elephants? Our safari takes us to one of KZN’s most beautiful Big 5 game reserves. There’s a chance that you may also see wild dog and cheetah too. And there is no shortage of bird species along the way.

A bush and beach self-drive, guided safari with a difference.

Dates 2024 (Egg laying season) and early 2025 (Hatchlings season) to be published soon.

Turtle Moms return to their place of birth to lay their own eggs. The pristine beaches of the Elephant Coast are perfect locations to lay there eggs.

The speed and determination of these little hatchlings to reach the shores from their nests is impressive, whilst also necessary to ensure their survival.

Our group about to set off on a beach walk, to look for turtle tracks. A moment in life that leaves such an impression in  your mind that you will never forget it.

A gentle cruise through the channels created by the resident hippos over hundreds of years of their existence in the lakes.

The Tonga people pass their fish traps down to family members from generation to generation for a period of approximately 800 years.

Experience what many local villagers do on a daily basis to reach the local village from their homes, by crossing the clear waters along the lake system.
